| Each member organization shall: |

| Endorse the mission and pledge to support it |
|
| Be a functioning trail maintenance or building group |
|
| Have hiking as a primary focus |
|
| Be willing to give their time. There is no membership fee or other costs. |
|
| Have a geographic focus in at least one of the following states: Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Kentucky, Mississippi, North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee, Virginia. |
