SUMMARY:Colville National Forest\, Salmo-Priest Wilderness
DESCRIPTION:The section of this trail that volunteers will be working on is an alternate route for the Pacific Northwest National Scenic Trail. This section of trail runs through the Salmo Priest Wilderness. We will be camping outside of the wilderness and hike about 3 miles to work each day. A fire reached this portion of trail in the summer of 2017 and there are about 100 trees down across the trail. This section will need to be logged out with crosscut saws\, and other types of hand saws. There will be a three person crew to supervise\, assist\, and support the volunteers during this project. Maintenance of the tread may also be required after this winter\, and is a secondary priority.
