DESCRIPTION:See why West Virginia is Wild and Wonderful! \nHelp support this dynamic National Wilderness Area! \nThe 47\,815-acre Cranberry Wilderness in the Monongahela National Forest is in Pocahontas and Webster Counties\, West Virginia located between Morgantown\, WV and Roanoke\, VA. \nIn keeping with the Wilderness ideals\, volunteers will use hand tools such as loppers\, garden shears\, handsaws and crosscut saws (with certified personnel) remove downed limbs\, trees and overgrown vegetation.This wilderness is truly one of the most wild and wonderful places in West Virginia and cleaning up some of the trail obstructions will really enhance the trail user’s experience. \nThere is no experience needed to join a Volunteer Vacation! Your expert hosts will provide detailed instruction\, tool demonstrations\, and project oversight throughout the week. All you need is a willing attitude and to be in good physical condition to participate in moderate physical activity for approximately 6-8 hours a day with plenty of breaks\, at your own pace.
