Protect the Trails We LOVE!

Do you find solace on a trail? Are you inspired by natural beauty? For me, hiking is a way to connect to the magic of nature and to feel strong and grounded. 6 years ago I joined the board of American Hiking to protect and preserve the trails we all love. In December, my 6-yr term on the AHS board ends. To celebrate this time, honor the dedicated individuals I served with, and contribute to protecting these lands, I committed to climb 6 (six) of Colorado's 58 14ers (noted below). My goal is to raise $1000 for every year I served.

VERY Grateful!! I have completed all six planned ascents reaching the summit on Mt Bierstadt (14,060) June 23rd (#15), Mt Harvard (14,420 - 2nd highest 14er in CO) on July 23rd (#16), Mt  Belford (14,197) & Mt Oxford (14,153) on August 6th (#17 #18), Mt Yale (14,200) on September 17th (#19), and Huron Peak (14,006) on October 8th (#20).

Thanks for your support and contributions! No donation is too small! (All gifts are 100%  tax deductible and go to AHS).

Use of America’s trails and public lands have increased to record levels. As the only national non-profit for hikers, AHS works to empower all to enjoy, share, and preserve the hiking experience. It is our collective responsibility to protect the trails we love and we need your help.

Thanks,

Maria
