THE ALLIANCE OF HIKING ORGANIZATIONS

American Hiking Society’s Alliance of Hiking Organizations is a network of trail groups, hiking clubs, land trusts and other organizations working to promote and protect hiking trails, trail lands, and the hiking experience. American Hiking Society and its Alliance are the primary force in pressing for increased funding for trails and protecting places special to hikers.

When your group joins the Alliance of Hiking Organizations at the Platinum Level, your $1,000 donation will provide you with the following benefits:

Alliance Seal Platinum

Special Membership Drives:

  • AHS membership add-on.  Your organization may sell American Hiking Society individual memberships to your members at a discounted rate.  Individual AHS memberships come with subscription to the popular Backpacker Magazine, and much more.

Trail Stewardship Assistance:

  • Exclusive eligibility to apply for National Trails Fund grants valued up to $3,000
  • 7% discount on trail tools, safety gear, and more from Forestry Suppliers, Inc.
  • Eligibility to receive and host volunteer crews for trail projects through AHS’  Volunteer Vacations program
