To make a gift for someone to join a Volunteer Vacation, please share their contact information below. We will send that person a gift certificate code and certificate with the value of your gift that they can apply to the registration fee for an upcoming Volunteer Vacation of their choice. Gift certificates are valid for 2 years from the date of purchase, unless prohibited by law.

Terms & Conditions: All trips are structured as mission-driven programs that support the charitable purpose of American HIking Society, a registered 501(c)(3) organization. Gift certificates are not redeemable for cash, nor do they constitute payment for a recreational or commercial travel product.
This certificate is not considered a charitable contribution by the recipient. Purchasers should consult their tax advisor regarding deductibility.
Gift certificates are valid for 2 years from the date of purchase, unless prohibited by law. Gift certificates may be applied toward the participant contribution for any available Volunteer Vacation within 2 years of the purchase date.
Every Volunteer Vacation registration fee includes*:
- Food and drinks during the trip duration (with the exception of alcoholic drinks or optional meals out)
- Entrance to park/forest, backcountry permits, campground fees, cabin or lodging fees (These fees could run upwards of $100 for a typical week in a U.S. National Park/Forest)
- Accommodations for the trip in a campsite, group lodge, bunkhouse, cabin or similar
- Use of tools and safety equipment
- Group supervision, logistics planning, and meal planning from experienced Crew Leaders
- Exclusive American Hiking Society Volunteer long-sleeved shirt
