California Coastal National Monument – Volunteer Vacations 2021
July 11, 2021 - July 17, 2021
Trip Navigation
Volunteers will work with CA State Park trail supervisors on the Trinidad State Beach trails, a unit of Patricks Point State Park and a highlight of the CA Coastal National Monument. Located along the Trinidad coastline in northern California where the redwoods meet the Pacific Ocean, these trails provide public access to the beach and tidepools. Trail distances are less than one mile each way from parking, but the terrain is sloped and unlevel. Work will include restoration of existing trails including installation of crib steps, and removal of invasive plants. Trail work will include moving materials (lumber, beach boulders, gravel, logs), trail step construction, trail drainage/water bars, and brush clearing. The group campsite at Patricks Point State Park is located near the ocean, tidepools, and state park trails. The summer weather is moderate and enjoyable.
